Biography
Jerica Olson was born and raised in northern Minnesota. Art was always a central interest, however she did not have the opportunity for formal instruction until she entered college. She received her Associate of Arts degree with an art emphasis in 2008 from Northland Community and Technical College in Thief River Falls, MN. Olson continued her artistic education at Minnesota State University Moorhead where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in sculpture in 2013. Olson has distinguished herself with an extensive exhibition record and is a recipient of the MSUM Excellence in Art and Design Scholarship, the Hotel Donaldson Art Scholarship, the TRF Community Arts Council Fine Art Scholarship, and the Hank Leopold Art Scholarship. Upon finishing her undergraduate studies, she plans to attend graduate school to pursue a Master of Fine Arts degree with the goal of becoming a professional artist.
